As one of the core themes of Climate Week NYC, Environmental Justice brings together a range of events that showcase the role of diversity and inclusivity to accelerate climate action.
Climate Week NYC serves as an important stage for diverse leaders from various sectors to engage in dialogue, share innovative strategies, and mobilize resources to ensure that climate action is inclusive and leaves no one behind. By highlighting environmental justice issues within this global platform, we aim to underscore the urgency of addressing these disparities while transitioning to a greener future.
Collectives across the world are dedicated to building a more equitable and sustainable world, where all individuals, regardless of their background, can thrive in a cleaner, healthier environment. Thanks to organizations such as Sustaining All Life and South Bronx Unite, we are able to get a closer look at how climate change affects different people.

What is Climate Week NYC?
Join us for the 15th year of Climate Week NYC. This year our motto is We Can, We Will. Done. Taking place September 17-24, Climate Week NYC returns for 2023 as the largest global climate event of its kind.
Hosted annually by international non-profit the Climate Group in conjunction with the United National General Assembly, and in partnership with the COP28 and the City of New York, Climate Week NYC is a global opportunity to come together to accelerate climate action and assess progress ahead of COP28.
