The Black Climate Leadership Summit is a unique and powerful space that offers skills and analysis training to advance climate justice. We host this summit to foster connection, learning, and collective strategy toward Black Liberation among Black climate and environmental leaders from across the US and the diaspora.
The all-day summit will take place on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, from 8 am- 5 pm (includes breakfast and lunch). We expect 75-100 Black/ African descent, emerging leaders looking to advance connection, guidance, and solidarity inside the climate and environmental sectors.
Summit goals include:
- Create a supportive space that fosters transnational collaboration for healing and restoring the earth and her people.
- Strengthen the network of Black environmental and climate justice leaders in the US and across the global Black diaspora.
- Provide skills and analysis training that purposefully intersects climate justice and Black liberation.
- Amplify the voices and visions of Global South leaders on the frontlines of climate impacts and solutions.
