"Existence and Resistance , Voices of Indigenous Women

"YACY" means "moon" or "the moon." The moon is associated with femininity, spirituality, cycles of nature. YACY is the Mother Nature herself, a source of everything.

The YACY project, a collaboration between "Instituto Por Elas" and Angelica Walker Projects, is an initiative to celebrate the creativity, resilience, and cultural heritage of women from indigenous communities. Its mission is to highlight entrepreneurship and culture as tools for fostering green economy among those who are "outside" the main society.

The program is as following:

4 pm: Networking and Roundtable of arts from Brazilian Indigenous Artists

5pm: Exhibition of visual arts, dance, fashion, music, photographs, films and storytelling.

6pm: Panel: Existence and Resistance , Voices of Indigenous Women
