With less than 50 days to go until Climate Week NYC 2023, it’s time to highlight what makes this year so special, and why everyone in the climate community needs to be a part of it.
Our focus this year
As we prepare to mark 15 years of the summit in New York City, we recognize that a new phase is upon us: one that requires a forward-looking approach and a rallying call for collective action. This year’s theme, ‘We Can, We Will’ is designed to embody resolute determination, unwavering focus, and a promising sense of hope, while also serving as a reminder that it’s time to start turning all our years of discourse into measurable action. We’re not only touching on the steps that need to be taken now, but we’re also demonstrating how we plan to bring all these ambitious commitments to fruition. This year's summit is all about proving that we can, and we will.
A walkthrough of the week
Climate Group runs a series of events that constitute the main program of the week. Among these are the Climate Week NYC Opening Ceremony and The Hub Live, which bring together a global audience of prominent figures in business, government, and the international climate community.
But the rest of the week is where a lot of the action happens. With over 400 physical, digital and hybrid events spanning across the boroughs of New York and virtually around the world, we’re proud to be the leading platform for all voices working to protect the planet and its people. The wider week is structured in a way that fosters true collaboration, connection, and impact. Our goal is to create a space for businesses, organizations, government leaders, and individuals to take center stage, exchange ideas, and showcase their visionary and groundbreaking climate innovations. Providing a platform for people to host diversified events across key industries is our way of nurturing an inclusive environment for all to be a part of.
What role can you play?
In a time where even the smallest temperature changes hold immense significance, we recognize that our work is far from over. Climate Week NYC is stepping into a new season, and we are calling on you to bring forward your brilliant solutions to supplement the efforts we already have on ground.
Companies, NGOs, academic organizations, community groups, public bodies, startups and academics who are activating climate solutions in their communities are all encouraged to register an event before September 8 to be included in this year’s official program. We hope that you will step forward, participate, and join us in making this year’s summit the biggest, most impactful and inclusive one yet.
