Flavor

Get the real scoop on climate change, and a free ice cream served up by Chuck Tatham, Professor Gail Whiteman and friends while learning more about the impact of climate change on your favorite flavors. The Save the Flavors “big ice cream giveaway” in Union Square Plaza, in the heart of Manhattan, will tell the world about the climate risks to the flavors we love. And it's not just about saving flavors, it's about saving us. Chuck Tatham will interview visitors on their climate knowledge with a few gags along the way too. We are encouraging everyone to help us save the flavors. Climate Basecamp is an initiative of the not for profit organization Arctic Basecamp, with a mission to “speak science to culture”.

Climate Basecamp uses culture and cultural vehicles as a lever for change in five areas: food, entertainment, music, sports and fashion.
