Join the Ocean Global Hamptons Hub for a Beach Cleanup on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at East Hampton Main Beach from 4:00 - 6:00 PM EDT!
This free event is to help preserve our beautiful beaches and blue planet and is an opportunity to meet our local Hamptons Hub community!
Meeting Point: Volunteers to meet our Hubs Community members at the beach entrance at the end of Ocean Avenue .
Access: We encourage volunteers to ride-share where possible. Main beach can be accessed via The East Hampton Circuit (operating between 9 - 6 PM) - to request a ride you can download their app! For those commuting by car, non-resident parking information can be found here.
Activities:
- ~4:00 PM - Welcome and Grounding introduction by author, scientist and explorer Gaelin Rosenwalks (@gaelingoexplore)
- ~ 4:30 PM - Cleanup to protect our beaches!
- ~ 6:00 PM - Post-Cleanup Happy Hour at The Blue Parrot (33A Main St, East Hampton, NY 11937; Volunteers will receive a 1st drink with happy hour pricing after. Happy Hour attendees are encouraged to ensure they arrange a safe ride home!
What to pack: Volunteers will be provided with clean-up supplies, including gloves and bags. Come dressed comfortably for the clean-up, we recommend closed-toe shoes and to bring your reusable water bottle. If you'd like, feel free to bring your own gardening gloves and reusable bags!
