This roundtable is tailored for policymakers at the subnational level, disaster risk reduction specialists, representatives from NGOs, and businesses who play pivotal roles in climate-resilient planning, policymaking, and climate data management.

In collaboration with Lloyd’s Register Foundation, Climate Group is hosting a series of online and in-person convenings throughout 2023, including a webinar and roundtable discussions during Climate Week NYC and COP28. In 2021, the Foundation conducted the second edition of the World Risk Poll, a unique global study designed to understand people’s perceptions and experiences of risks to their personal safety, including severe weather, climate change and vulnerabilities in disaster resilience – the biggest risk faced by people and communities globally.

This series engages government officials from national, state, and city levels, as well as NGOs, disaster risk reduction experts, aid workers, businesses, researchers, and community representatives. Its goal is to acquaint them with the findings and results of the Poll, fostering collaborative efforts to design and implement robust climate-resilient systems at individual, household, community, and societal levels.
