Climate Justice through Equitable Policymaking for the Built Environment
The people on the frontlines of climate change experience negative impacts first and worst, but climate policies are rarely centered on their needs. The U.S. is now making historic investments in emissions reduction, and writing a flurry of decarbonization policies. This is a unique opportunity to create transformative, community-led policies. The Institute for Market Transformation (IMT), a leader in building performance policymaking, recently completed a two-year project to rewrite how we approach policy. In this webinar, IMT’s Community Engagement team will discuss key outcomes from that project and provide examples of how these approaches are playing out.
