This roundtable focuses on the challenge of climate action at scale. In the next few years, to meet their 2030 goals, many companies will need to take actions that are much more demanding than the norm so far. How do we move from the incremental and affordable to the big moves that cut deeply into today’s business model?
Research by Oliver Wyman and Climate Group with a range of practitioners suggests that a big enabler of these moves is a stake in the future: a commercial ambition for the role the business will play in a net zero world. This way, the transition needed becomes transformational, not reductive. Common themes involve a positive vision, embracing creative destruction, and tactics that combine boldness with flexibility.
In this roundtable we will bring together some of the leading practitioners who have contributed to the research, to review and critically discuss the findings and share practical experiences of how to make progress.
