Amtrak at Climate Week: Moving at high-speed to a climate resilience future

We have the exciting opportunity to provide walking tours through Moynihan Train Hall, led by Amtrak representatives while they share the history of the station and Amtrak. The tours will serve to inspire and show how consistent investment and ambition are modernizing the domestic rail experience. After the tour, Amtrak, along with the Port Authority, will present on the criticality of climate resilience and the steadfast focus needed to advance the modal shift toward lower carbon transportation options – especially intercity passenger rail service.

Speakers and tour guides will help participants experience and envision the future of Amtrak by touring Moynihan Train Hall, and hearing from Kara Oldhouser, Director of Sustainability at Amtrak, and our colleagues from Port Authority.
