Batteries are an increasingly central technology to our ability to meet rising electricity demand, support cutting-edge data centers and industrial facilities, power our transportation system, and bolster resilience to extreme weather. As the United States develops new technologies and chemistries, innovative policy and regulatory solutions are also necessary to promote the development and deployment of batteries, energy storage, and electric vehicles. Join the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, Volta Foundation, the Advanced Energy Research Center at Stony Brook University, and the Battery Materials Technology Coalition for a half-day symposium exploring cutting-edge energy storage technologies and the policies that will be necessary to support a globally competitive domestic battery industry. Hosted during Climate Week NYC, this event will bring together leaders from across industry, government, academic institutions, and NGOs to share ideas and opportunities for the months and years to come. Sessions include: - Innovator Showcase: Hear from companies bringing new battery technologies to market - Policy Roundtable: Explore near-term federal and state policy opportunities to support the U.S. battery/energy storage industry - Networking: Build relationships across the industry
