Indigenous-led conservation is a core strategy for strengthening climate resilience, protecting biodiversity, and advancing durable land governance. Join Trust for Public Land and Tribal partners for a conversation about what conservation can look like when Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities are recognized not simply as stakeholders, but as sovereign governments, rights holders, and original stewards of land and water. Panelists will share firsthand perspectives and real-world examples of Indigenous-led efforts, from land return and co-stewardship, to trails and community-designed spaces that reconnect communities with ancestral lands, protect cultural and ecological resources, support food sovereignty, reduce climate risks, and build intergenerational stewardship.
