As the world continues to recover from a global pandemic, we must prioritize climate action and equitably address the climate crisis. Climate change is a universal and multi-faceted issue, so tackling the climate crisis will require a diverse, vibrant, and creative array of voices and solutions. This year, we want everyone to feel represented, and invite all government leaders, businesses, organizations, communities, artists, movers and shakers to showcase their work towards a healthier, brighter future for all.
The official events program is organized into ten themes:

We understand that climate justice and environmental justice are intrinsically linked and want to reflect that in the official events program. Each of our program themes acknowledges that racial and socioeconomic justice are key to climate action in every realm.
Last year, over 500 virtual events took place globally. This year, most Climate Week NYC 2022 events will be held in-person, from September 19-25 in New York City. In the effort to cultivate a global and inclusive conversation, we also will continue to welcome virtual events from all over the world.
