Roots to Renewal: A Green Careers Reentry Summit will bring together leaders across reentry, workforce development, government, philanthropy, and community to ask a critical question: How do we ensure that New York’s transition to a green economy creates opportunity and economic mobility for communities too often excluded from emerging industries? Co-convened by Fordham University and The Institute for Justice and Opportunity (IJO) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, the summit will explore how green career pathways can expand access to quality jobs and economic mobility for justice-impacted New Yorkers and their families, while ensuring their experiences and perspectives help inform how those pathways are built.
