Riverside Park South Phase 6 is a newly built park that transforms a heavily used industrial rail yard site into a public park with accessible green space, stormwater management features, and a balance of active and passive recreational opportunities for New Yorkers of all ages. The trees planted during this event will help stabilize soil and reduce erosion, enhance the landscape, increase shade, and frame views of the park and waterfront. They will also contribute to the long-term vision of a greener, healthier, and more resilient community. Come ready to plant trees alongside others who are passionate about the environment and the power trees have to transform neighborhoods. Please note that space is limited, and submitting a registration does not guarantee attendance. The Arbor Day Foundation will contact all confirmed attendees directly with a confirmation and additional event information, including specific details on where to meet in the park and directions for traveling via car or public transportation. Confirmed attendees should plan to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.
