The ocean has always carried more than ships. It regulates the climate, feeds three billion people, moves ninety percent of global trade, and absorbs a quarter of the carbon we emit. Few systems do more for the global economy, and few are less visible in the rooms where economic decisions are made. During Climate Week NYC and United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week, Leaders on Purpose and Gigablue will convene thirty senior leaders for a private, off-the-record roundtable on the future of the ocean economy. This session will explore how ocean-based carbon removal, blue carbon, marine regeneration, shipping decarbonization, coastal resilience, biodiversity value, and natural capital finance are converging into one of the most significant market-making opportunities of the next decade. The central question: What would it take for the ocean to be recognized, financed, and governed as critical infrastructure for the next economy, and how do we build that market with integrity from the start? Gigablue will anchor the conversation with a live case from the frontier of ocean carbon removal and marine decarbonization. The room will bring together investors, family offices, corporate decarbonization leaders, ocean scientists, policymakers, innovators, and voices from coastal and Indigenous communities. Private | Invitation only | Off the record | Non-transferable
