The Black Hive @ 5 is more than an anniversary. It is a living showcase of five years of Black-led climate, land, and environmental justice organizing, storytelling, culture, and community power. For one day only, The Black Hive is taking over multiple floors and transforming the space into an immersive celebration of the people, organizations, campaigns, stories, and visions shaping Black climate justice. Guests can move throughout the building and experience interactive installations, political education, live performances, film screenings, panels, podcasts and radio shows, art-making, healing spaces, a pop-up library, food, and opportunities to connect with organizers from across the Black climate and environmental justice ecosystem. Explore five years of The Black Hive and the Black Climate Mandate, enter a space dedicated to Black resistance to AI and data center expansion, experience stories about land, environmental justice, and community survival, or slow down to create, read, heal, eat, and build with others. The day brings together frontline organizers, artists, cultural workers, storytellers, movement organizations, and community members to celebrate what has been built and imagine what comes next. And when the daytime programming ends, Black Hive @ 5 continues After Dark with food, music, poetry, live performances, DJs, and a rooftop No Tech Party. Come for an event.
