Sustainable Fashion Scholars: Ideation Day is a student-led, inter-institutional gathering intended to provide space for the next generation of climate x fashion leaders to exchange knowledge, build partnerships, and accelerate solutions toward a sustainable fashion industry and culture. We are a group of students and alumni connected through sustainable fashion student organizations at Columbia, The New School, NYU, and Yale who came together to create more opportunities for cross-university connection and collaboration. While many events platform industry leaders, students are typically given a seat in the audience. We created this event to instead platform student ideas and perspectives that explore a more just and regenerative fashion future. We also want to create an active space for students and alumni to build meaningful connections across universities. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, as well as recent alumni from all universities, are welcome to join us as we learn, exchange ideas, and connect. No prior knowledge of sustainable fashion is necessary! Hosted by: The Gromek Institute for Business at Parsons School of Design, Yale University's Moving the Needle, Columbia University's Impact Style, New York University's Future Fashion Group and Helix Commons: A Storied Resale Marketplace.
