SUSTAINABLE ENERGY CATALYST - The Master Mind Roundtables

The Sustainable Energy Catalyst brings the institutions driving New York's energy transition into one room to work together, not just to be present. The afternoon centers on both the table and the stage. Six thematic executive tables run concurrently — Grid Efficiency & Digitalization;Renewable Energy Integration & Storage;Industrial Decarbonization & Hydrogen;Financing the Energy Transition;Transportation & Building Electrification;and NYC Clean Air: The Bronx–Hunts Point Blueprint. Each is chaired by a leader with direct responsibility for the subject;seats are capped and assigned in advance, and the sessions run under the Chatham House Rule, so the discussion is candid rather than careful. Fifty-five speakers, table leaders and contributors take part, from NYSERDA, Con Edison, the New York Power Authority, NYCEDC, NY Green Bank, the NYC Departments of Buildings and Citywide Administrative Services, the New York State Department of Public Service, Linde, the LDES Council, Empire Clean Cities, the Consulate General of Canada and Columbia University. The program opens with a fireside conversation with Doreen M. Harris, President and CEO of NYSERDA, followed by keynote remarks from Council Member Justin Sanchez of the Bronx, Keith Kerman of NYC DCAS, Ahmed Tigani of the NYC Department of Buildings, Brandon Owens of NYSERDA, and Matthew W. Daus of the International Association of Transportation Regulators. It closes with every table leader presenting their conclusions live, and a fireside with Sam Jung of NYCEDC. The opening and closing sessions are livestreamed free on LinkedIn and YouTube and are open to all — no registration required to watch. In-person seats are limited and assigned by table. What is decided at the tables does not stop here: each theme carries into a dedicated webinar series running January to March 2027.
