Moving US forward for climate

The United States is at an implementation inflection point. Across clean energy, infrastructure, and resilience, the question is no longer whether to act — it's whether we can deliver at the speed and scale the moment demands. This session brings together policymakers, investors, and practitioners to take stock of what's working, where the bottlenecks are, and what it will take to turn national climate ambition into visible, on-the-ground results. Drawing on insights from Climate Group's 2026 US Leaders' Forum, participants will examine how innovation and implementation must move together — and what that means for communities, companies, and the clean energy economy. This session will ask: • Where is implementation actually working — and what made it possible? • What are the biggest structural bottlenecks slowing clean energy deployment, and who has the power to remove them? • How do permitting and interconnection reforms unlock the next wave of clean infrastructure? • What financing models are proving most effective at getting capital to where it's needed? • How are states and cities filling the gap left by federal uncertainty — and can they sustain it?
