Launch of the South-South Confluence: Reconfiguring Climate Governance from the Territories

The South-South Confluence Launch is a high-level dialogue convening governments, civil society, philanthropy, academia, and multilateral organizations from across the Global South to advance climate justice through implementation. The event will explore community-led solutions for adaptation, food sovereignty, just transition, climate finance, and inclusive climate governance, while addressing environmental racism and the disproportionate impacts of climate change on historically marginalized and racialized communities. It will officially launch a new coalition dedicated to strengthening South-South cooperation and increasing the influence of Global South organizations in international climate decision-making. Through interactive discussions and strategic dialogue, participants will identify pathways to accelerate implementation, strengthen partnerships, and build a shared advocacy roadmap from COP31 in Türkiye to COP32 in Ethiopia
