Happy Hour Event – The Super Pollutants in Your Backyard

Across the US and Canada, orphaned oil and gas wells are quietly releasing methane and other harmful pollutants near our schools, parks, farms, forests, and communities. Public funding alone won’t solve the problem at the scale or speed required. The voluntary carbon markets are increasingly stepping in and creating new possibilities for getting these wells plugged.
Join RMI, BCarbon, Oneshot.earth, and ACR (formerly American Carbon Registry) for an informal New York Climate Week happy hour bringing together buyers, marketplaces, brokers, project developers, standard-setters, and other market leaders to explore what it takes to grow a credible and high-impact market for orphaned well carbon credits. You can expect drinks, light bites, a few brief remarks, and plenty of conversation about demand opportunities, barriers, and what comes next.
This is a space for connection and open conversation, not formal pitches or business development. And if you know a carbon credit buyer who should be a part of the conversation, bring them along!
