During New York Climate Week, GARN’s Indigenous Council will convene Indigenous leaders from around the world to explore Indigenous-led Rights of Nature as a pathway toward climate justice and a post-extractivist future. The gathering will be followed by the public launch and celebration of the Inter-Tribal Rights of Rivers (IROR) Alliance, a growing network of Indigenous Peoples, Tribal Nations, and allies working to defend rivers, watersheds, and the ecosystems they sustain.
