Daylighting our future/ towards a radical field station and unburied waters in Queens!

Join us as we walk the route of Flushing Creek’s undergrounded waters, beginning first at Queens Museum and touching on the birth of the park through Robert Moses’ superimposed imagination and the World Fair. We'll walk above where the creek was buried and invite you into the proposed daylighting process. We’ll then be joined by a GoFB member to guide us to the Bay. Together we’ll make the trek to the FMCP Kayak/Canoe Launch for SaturBAY, a community celebration of Guardians of Flushing Bay’s work and the proposed floating field station in Flushing Bay to support more access to the water, be an educational hub, and create a boathouse for the dragonboater community that travels from all over the region to practice on the Bay.
