Convening the Next-Generation Materials Transition 22 September 2026 | Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York City Connecting the organisations, innovators and industry leaders accelerating the adoption of next-generation materials. The future of fashion depends on bringing the next generation of materials to scale. While innovation continues to accelerate, turning breakthrough solutions into industry-wide adoption requires collaboration across the entire value chain. The Forum connects brands, innovators, suppliers, investors, and industry leaders to move that transition from pledge to commercial reality. While global brands play an important role in leading the transition, commercial scale will ultimately depend on adoption across the wider fashion market. Through practical insights, meaningful connections, and direct engagement with solution providers, participants will gain the confidence and relationships needed to turn ambition into action. This Climate Week NYC, Eco Age is convening the organisations, brands and initiatives helping to shape that future. Our role is to bring together the wider ecosystem behind next-generation materials, creating a platform where leaders can share knowledge, build partnerships and explore the practical pathways to adoption. Developed in collaboration with Canopy, Fashion for Good, Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT NYC) and other leading organisations, this convening brings together the expertise needed to move the conversation forward. Building on the work already underway with global brands, the Forum expands the conversation to include the wider fashion market, connecting brands, suppliers, material innovators, manufacturers, investors, NGOs and solution providers whose collective decisions and actions will determine whether next-generation materials reach commercial scale. Speakers also include voices from Spinnova, Dirt Charity, Good Earth Cotton, and Material ConneXion, alongside other leading organisations across the value chain. Through an invitation-based roundtable, panels, keynotes and curated networking reception, participants will explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the next chapter of material innovation. Conversations will focus on commercial adoption, supply chain readiness, investment, sourcing and the partnerships that can accelerate progress across the industry. Climate Week NYC is where global leaders come together to turn ambition into action. As one of the world's largest platforms for climate collaboration, it creates the ideal environment to build the relationships and shared understanding needed to move promising innovations beyond pilots and into practice. This convening contributes to that momentum by connecting the people who can help shape the future of next-generation materials together.
