Closing celebration of Climate Week on Newtown Creek at Kingsland Wildflowers Rooftop

We’ll mark the end of Climate Week with what matters everyday: a celebration of the collective intelligence and mycelial networks of what is worth transforming and what is worth fighting for. The event will bring together water activists, urban ecologists, community stewards, neighbors, artists and friends, featuring artistic activations by artists Liz Ensz and Shahira Hammad and joined by Mycelium Choral Project to sing a giant group rendition of Big Yellow Taxi. We're working with Everything Good Studio to create a virtual banquet along the Newtown Creek Nature Walk along with audio snippets from Gus Perry of NCA, Newtown Creek whisperer Lisa Bloodgood and Gil Lopez of Smiling Hogshead Ranch as part of our Newtown Creek scavenger hunt. Jack and Rachel of Everything Good Studio will also be bringing their XR experience up to the roof for the celebration. To fight for what we love, celebrate where we are, restore what we’ve lost and reimagine what is coming… Made in collaboration with Noo Arts. With libations from Grimm brewery and Brewheister’s late summer brew from Community Garden Hops.
