Climate, Captured - Fireside & Story Booth Climate, Captured is an interactive session that brings together youth leaders, diplomats, policymakers, and storytellers to explore one of the most persistent gaps in climate action: the space between the work being done and the way it gets told. Climate policy, diplomacy, and grassroots justice work rarely reach the public the way they're actually lived. Despite being closest to this work, young leaders and practitioners are rarely equipped with the tools to tell their own stories leaving powerful work underrepresented in the narratives that shape funding, policy, and public attention. Through a fireside conversation featuring voices across UN diplomacy, ecological and healing justice, and youth-led climate science and organizing, participants will examine what gets lost when this work is reduced to a headline and what it actually takes to tell it right. The conversation will be hosted by a filmmaker who works behind the camera telling stories, working closely with grassroots communities to bring what's happening on the ground live to the world. The session then moves into practice. Participants will step into a Rapid Story Booth to record their own 2-minute climate story, with live coaching on framing, audio, and structure no filmmaking background required. Participants will leave with a finished video, a practical framework for visual storytelling, and the confidence to keep telling their own story long after the session ends.
