Most climate capital still flows to mitigation. In 2023, adaptation and resilience drew roughly $65 billion worldwide against $1.78 trillion for mitigation, under a tenth of the total, even as extreme weather and strain on grid, water, and food systems keep rising. Resilience is the work of adapting to changes already underway, and it stays underfunded as the need grows. Much of the capital that does reach these companies moves through angels, philanthropic and impact dollars, and alternative structures more than standard venture rounds. This session is about how that funding comes together and the companies putting it to work. We open with an outside expert on the state of resilience investing. Three to five companies then present their work across climate resilience followed by open networking.
