Finish off NYC Climate Week strong by running the 2026 Palisades Half Marathon or new 6K Trail Run on Sunday, September 27th! Just minutes from Manhattan, both races are a chance to celebrate Climate Week by getting outside and directly supporting stewardship of the region's world-class public lands. Both races start and finish at Fort Lee Historic Park, just across the George Washington Bridge from Manhattan. The USATF-certified Half Marathon course covers 13.1 paved miles with stunning Hudson River views and over 1,430 ft of elevation gain along the Palisades ridge. The new 6K Trail Run descends to the Shore Trail along the river, climbs through tunnels and rugged cliffside crags, and connects to the iconic Long Path. Regular shuttle service between uptown Manhattan and Fort Lee, NJ will run before and throughout the event, with free bicycle parking and bag check on site. Parking and ride share dropoff are also easily available. Registration for either race includes a free t-shirt and finish medal. All proceeds benefit the Palisades Parks Conservancy and the Palisades Interstate Park System's 29 state parks and historic sites, protecting more than 130,000 acres of land and water from the GW Bridge to the Catskills.
