Every day, millions of pounds of good food end up in the landfill while more and more families face food insecurity. Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) addresses this problem by rescuing and donating this surplus food to nonprofit recipients. Our rescue operations rely on a nationwide network of dedicated volunteers who donate their time to making sure food reaches those in need. The incredible coordination of food recovery groups make this food recovery possible, and innovative technology can make food rescue even more efficient.
Join us for an evening to discuss how tools such as AI, robot-assisted transportation, and app-based operations can identify gaps in coverage and help respond to communities that need it most. We will also explore how tech-assisted food recovery is playing a role in long-term solutions for mitigating climate change.
Refreshments and light bites will be provided!
Panelists to be announced soon!
