This town hall is part of Sachamama's Hispanic Heritage Month Town Hall Series, taking place across four U.S. cities: New Orleans, Santa Barbara, Houston, and New York. The New York event brings this national conversation to Climate Week NYC, centering Latino leadership and lived experience on two of the most pressing climate challenges facing our communities today: air quality and respiratory health, and resilience in the face of flooding and extreme weather. Confirmed panelists so far include Irene Burga, Climate Justice and Cleaner Energy Program Director at GreenLatinos, and Antonieta Cadiz, Executive Director of Climate Power En Acción, with additional panelists to be announced in the coming weeks. The evening will open with a networking reception, followed by the panel discussion and an audience Q&A.
