This session sits squarely in the Finance and Clean Growth theme. It represents a new financing mechanism, a verified certificate registry, and forward-purchase commitments from corporate buyers, built to make responsible e-waste processing in Africa commercially self-sustaining rather than donor-dependent. The panel deliberately includes the financial infrastructure (Bloom ESG's registry) and the sector specific certifier (E-Stewards), along with the operational reality on the ground (e-waste processors, software providers, and auditors). After a brief introduction to the pilot structure, a lively discussion between the participants will cover a variety of themes: 1) Why Certification is the Foundation, 2) Turning Verified Impact into a Financial Instrument, 3) The Data Backbone, and 4) Local Perspectives on Competing in the Global Resource Market. The session will finish with a few questions from audience members.
