As climate change, food insecurity, rising costs, land access, and environmental pressures reshape the way we think about agriculture, we need to ask what the future of our food system should look like. In celebration of Climate Week NYC, "Food Justice & Agriculture: How Do We Build a Food System That Works for Everyone?" explores how farmers, communities, young people, technology, and new approaches to agriculture can help rethink how we grow, distribute, and access food. This virtual event will examine the connections between climate and the food system, from regenerative agriculture and urban farming to hydroponics, agricultural technology, food justice, local food systems, and the next generation of farmers. We’ll also explore the challenges that can make healthy food difficult to access and consider how different approaches to agriculture could contribute to more resilient communities and food systems.
