​Entire regions of farmers, pastoralists, and rural businesses are being left out of the global economy - not because the need or opportunity is absent, but because investors are often unwilling to deploy capital where climate risk, conflict, and weak infrastructure make investing riskier. This further destabilizes both local economies and their food systems. Climate finance is growing, but less than 2% reaches smallholder farmers, and even less reaches the fragile regions many of these farmers inhabit.
