As climate impacts intensify, vulnerable developing countries and communities increasingly require timely and demand-driven technical assistance to avert, minimize, and address loss and damage. The Santiago Network has emerged as a key mechanism for connecting these countries and communities with the knowledge, expertise, and resources they need. Established in 2019 under the Warsaw International Mechanism (WIM) for Loss and Damage associated with Climate Change Impacts, the Santiago Network is undergoing a phase of growth, scaled delivery and rapid learning. This event will provide a platform to share results from the early pipeline and foster dialogue among governments, technical institutions, donors, philanthropists and other stakeholders on how collective action can strengthen support for developing countries and communities facing climate-induced loss and damage. Participants will hear how technical assistance is supporting locally- led action and will gain insights into emerging impact stories, key achievements, and strategic priorities. The event will also explore how the Santiago Network is scaling its impact through new partnerships and innovative approaches while advancing its long-term vision of strengthening support for vulnerable countries and communities.
