Climate Solutions Investing: A Systems Perspective

Climate solutions depend on interconnected systems, from technologies and infrastructure to supply chains and natural resources, that must scale together. Yet investment decisions are often made at the level of individual opportunities. How can investors better understand the systems in which climate solutions operate, identify critical bottlenecks and determine where capital can contribute most effectively to climate outcomes?
This highly interactive session will begin with reflections from asset owners applying the GIIN's Climate Solutions Investing Framework, followed by discussions focused on the energy and nature sectors. Participants will explore how different parts of a system depend on one another, hear from investors operating across those systems and examine where capital gaps, dependencies and opportunities exist.
Through facilitated breakout discussions, attendees will consider where they would allocate the next dollar within a system and what conditions must be in place for that investment to succeed.
The objective of these discussions is to challenge how investment opportunities are evaluated, moving beyond individual investments to better understand the systems that underpin climate outcomes.
We hope you join us for this engaging discussion, followed by a networking reception.
Please note that registration will be reviewed and approved on a rolling basis.
