Join us on a Sunday afternoon during Climate Week to experiment with food scrap watercolor painting! We will be using beet peels, onion skins, flowers, coffee grinds, and more to create beautiful works of art. The paints will be prepared ahead of time and we will walk you through the process so you can make your own at home. We will also be talking about all things composting - such as answering your compost questions, connecting you with your neighborhood compost site, and thinking of creative uses for food scraps! This will be a great opportunity to meet the Clinton Community Garden's Compost team and learn how to get involved with this beautiful, historic garden in Hell's Kitchen. We will have materials from the Big Reuse Center, Brooklyn Creative Reuse, and other scavenged items. You are welcome to bring your paint brushes or canvas to use or share with the group! Come for any duration of the event and bring your friends and family along :) No experience is needed!
