In a moment when climate ambition faces growing political, economic, and social pushback, the role of climate envoys and advocates is evolving from agenda-setting to bridge-building, persuasion, and persistence. This panel conversation will bring together longtime climate advocates to explore they are navigating a more contested landscape while continuing to advance cooperation, accountability, and action. How have envoys and advocates adapted their strategies in the face of backlash, maintained momentum across institutions and borders, and kept climate priorities visible amid competing pressures. It will also highlight the importance of trusted messengers, coalition-building, and practical diplomacy in translating climate goals into durable progress.
