The average American meal travels about 1,500 miles to get from farm to plate! Purslane uses sustainable and organic ingredients and products from local farms in the New York area. We source wines from natural and biodynamic vineyards and suggest sourcing all beverages from local vendors. Purslane reduces our impact by participating in several zero waste and carbon sequestration initiatives. We utilize reusable service wares and compostable products, compost and recycle, and avoid all single-use and non-recyclable plastics. Purslane partners with Terracycle to redirect and recycle waste that cannot be processed by municipal recycling programs and we offset carbon emissions through ZeroFoodPrint carbon credits program. All of our facilities are powered by 100% renewable energy.
