The Kigali Cooling Efficiency Programme (K-CEP) is a global collaboration working in tandem with the Kigali Amendment of the Montreal Protocol by helping developing countries transition to energy-efficient, clean cooling solutions for all. Under the Kigali Amendment, 197 countries committed to reduce potent greenhouse gases used in refrigeration and air conditioning. K-CEP focuses on the energy efficiency of cooling to double the climate and development benefits of the Amendment. K-CEP works on policy, finance, technology and knowledge and skills solutions. K-CEP is supporting Climate Week NYC 2019 to help raise awareness of the need for action on efficient, clean cooling and to mobilize governments, businesses and civil society to speed and scale cooling solutions that help deliver the Paris climate treaty, whilst bringing prosperity to all.
