What is Climate Week NYC?
Climate Week NYC is one of the key summits in the international calendar and has been driving climate action forward since it was first launched by The Climate Group in 2009. Taking place between September 24-30 in New York City alongside the UN General Assembly, Climate Week NYC 2018 will bring together international leaders from business, government and civil society to showcase the unstoppable momentum of global climate action. Climate Week NYC is brought to you by The Climate Group.
What is a Climate Week NYC Event?
Businesses, governments, academic institutions, arts and music organizations, and NGOs are all invited to participate in the iconic week, through the Climate Week NYC Events program. Organizations can apply to host an event during the week of Climate Week NYC 2018 (24-30 September) at their chosen location in New York City.
Climate Week NYC Events receive access to the official Climate Week NYC 2018 Official Event Toolkit, including a license to use the official logos, messaging, and social media content to assist in promoting their event. Climate Week NYC Events are promoted through the official Climate Week NYC and The Climate Group digital and social media channels which have a combined following of over 150,000.
From hosting panel discussions, to concerts, exhibitions and seminars, organizations and individuals can play a pivotal role in advancing the debate, driving awareness, and keeping climate action at the top of the global agenda. Last year’s summit was host to more than 140 Official Climate Week NYC Events.
Who can register as an Official Climate Week NYC Event?
Governments, businesses, academic institutions, community groups, arts and music organizations, NGOs and individuals are all invited to host Climate Week NYC Events as part of Climate Week NYC. The more events we can convene, the greater reach and impact Climate Week NYC 2018 will have!
How, when and where will my Climate Week NYC Event be hosted?
Climate Week NYC 2018 is taking place in New York City between September 24-30. Organizations are responsible for sourcing venues and organizing their own events. All events must take place in New York City.
While Climate Week NYC 2018 is officially taking place between September 24-30, should your event fall within a week of these dates, you may still register your event to be listed.
How do I register my event as an official Climate Week NYC 2018 Event?
Please submit your event details using the official Climate Week NYC 2018 Event online submission form. (This will be available by May 2018.)
There is no deadline for submitting a Climate Week NYC Event application, but we encourage you apply as early as possible to maximize the time for promotion and collaboration.
What are the benefits to becoming an Official Climate Week NYC Event?
Once your event has been approved, it will be posted to the online Climate Week NYC 2018 Official Events Calendar. You will receive access to the official Climate Week NYC 2018 Event Toolkit, including logos, messaging, and social media content to assist in promoting your event.
By registering as an official Climate Week NYC 2018 Event, your event will also be promoted through the official Climate Week NYC and The Climate Group’s digital and social media channels which have a combined following of over 150,000, helping to position your organization’s profile internationally as part of this high-profile event.
Where can I view all Events happening during Climate Week NYC?
The Climate Week NYC 2018 Events Calendar will be available online by August 2018. This calendar will be updated regularly in the build up to Climate Week NYC 2018.
Is there a cost associated with registering my Climate Week Event?
As a corporate, the cost of registration for an Official Climate Week NYC event is $395.*
We are asking non-profit or academic organizations, community groups, start ups and public bodies to make an appropriate donation to The Climate Group instead of paying the above price. Further advice of this will be given upon submission.*
*No billing details will be taken in the first stage of the application process.
Can I register my event if I have not confirmed all of the logistics for it?
Yes, you may submit your event even if you are still confirming venue space, speakers, registration details, etc.

What type of support can The Climate Group offer me in planning and promoting my event?
The Climate Group’s role is primarily to service the online platform for Events to increase their visibility. We typically do not offer support in terms of coordinating logistics, venue space, invites, etc.
The Climate Group will promote the Official Events program as a whole through external channels, including our social media accounts. We will also provide registered Climate Week NYC 2018 Event organizations with access to the official Climate Week NYC 2018 Event Toolkit, which includes logos, messaging, and social media content you may use to promote your event.
