Ahead of Glasgow, the COP26 Presidency, the High Level Climate Champions and global leaders assess the transition from ambition to implementation. 

Race to Zero is the largest, most credible alliance committed to delivering the promise of Paris: halving emissions by 2030 and driving towards a decarbonised economy as soon as possible. The campaign has grown exponentially since launching on World Environment Day in June, with now thousands of non-state actors across sectors and regions who understand that a zero carbon world means a better, healthier, more resilient future for all. This building momentum amongst businesses, cities, regions, investors and universities is spurring greater government action. 

As a symbol of the pivot from ambition to action, the event will spotlight some of the recent transformational action plans from Race to Zero members across the world and showcase the impact that these pledges deliver. What possibilities have they already unlocked? What futures can they help us imagine? In particular, speakers from across the global economy will explore how convergence and collaboration are key to implementing effective change, at speed.
