Art in the Time of Corona 2

Selva Ozelli’s third digital solo art show is “Art in the Time of Corona 2”. The inspiration behind the theme of her art show was Selva Ozelli's corona virus themed paintings being published by the world’s first climate change museum the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change - Hong Kong https://www.mocc.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/hub-categories/interactive-multimedia/item/2525-art-in-the-time-of-corona-selva-ozelli and her painting titled “Surviving the Jungle of Corona – Portrait of Lale Baymur Vanli, Pediatric Neuro Psychologist” the being selected as a finalist in the first online international Art Contest by Creative Canvas. Selva Ozelli curated the art show based on her series of articles on digital technology adoption, solar energy and tax policies in the jurisdictions with the greatest carbon emissions. These articles have been published by the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change - Hong Kong in addition to more than 100 other publications around the world. In her corona virus themed paintings Selva explored whether Climate Change caused by carbon emissions might be one reason for such a terrible global COVID-19 pandemic scenario. Carbon pollution defies national borders and is inescapable. The true cost of climate change is felt when it penetrates deep into our respiratory and circulatory systems and damages our lungs, which are highly vulnerable to the coronavirus, according to a report prepared by the WHO as stated her final article in her Climate Change article series titled “The Need to Report Carbon Emissions Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic” https://cointelegraph.com/news/the-need-to-report-carbon-emissions-amid-the-coronavirus-pandemic. “Art in the Time of Corona 2” includes portraits of Selva’s family, friends as well as Dr. Kalbiye Yalaz who established the first pediatric neurology department in Hacettepe Hospital.
