A water charity event focused on climate action in the water sector, hosted by Cobalt Water Global. The last two years’ events for Climate Week NYC have been a big success. We want to continue building on that success and have you be part of it.
CLIMATE CHANGE AND WATER ARE INEXTRICABLY LINKED. What we do with water in cities can impact climate change, and climate change can impact water and exacerbate water scarcity in communities where people are already lacking access to safe drinking water.
Therefore, as part of Climate Week NYC, Cobalt Water Global is once again organizing a water charity event to make these links, help those without safe drinking water and sanitation, share what is being done in NYC and globally in terms of climate action in the water sector and meeting UN SDG6, and inform citizens on how they can better use water to take Climate Action at home.
WHO: Water and non-water professionals, tech leaders, entrepreneurs, and the climate community.
WHAT: Panel discussion on how to tackle climate action / inequality with water in the pandemic era. See here for detailed program and panelists, which include executive directors from the International Water Association, Gowanus Canal Conservancy (NYC), and Center of Science and Environment (India) among others.
