NYC Water and Climate II
A water charity event focused on climate change mitigation/adaptation in the water sector, hosted by Cobalt Water Global. The inaugural event at last year’s Climate Week NYC was a big success. We want to continue building on that success and have you be part of it.
CLIMATE CHANGE AND WATER ARE INEXTRICABLY LINKED. What we do with water in cities can impact climate change, and climate change can impact water and exacerbate water scarcity in cities where people are already lacking access to safe drinking water. Therefore, Cobalt Water Global, in partnership with WeWork, is organizing a water charity event to make these links, help those without safe drinking water and sanitation, share what is being done in NYC and globally in terms of climate action in the water sector and meeting UN SDG6, and inform citizens on how they can better use water to help mitigate climate change.
WHO: Water and non-water professionals, tech leaders, and entrepreneurs to network and brainstorm on how to tackle the water and climate change nexus.
WHAT: Brief talks/panel discussion on climate smart water management in cities. See here for detailed program and panelists.
The reception will continue on our rooftop with amazing views of the whole city. All proceeds will be donated to Water for People, who is bringing safe drinking water to people in developing countries.
Tickets are limited so buy your tickets here asap!
Gold Sponsors: Stojo; JBS Project Management, a CHA company; Arcadis
