Build It Green is a Columbia University student organization aiming to expose students to problems related to the built environment and planning for better infrastructure. Our executive team is comprised of Sustainability Management students, a program jointly administered by the Earth Institute and School of Professional Studies.
As part of Climate Week NYC, Build It Green is hosting a screening of the documentary ALBATROSS followed by a discussion. The film is a glimpse into issue of ocean plastic pollution and its impact on the wildlife. Not only is the event pertinent to the conversation surrounding Climate Week, the discussion has the opportunity to focus on significant strides made to improve our waters and rid it of plastic pollution.

A screening of the film ALBATROSS during Climate Week NYC. The film screening will be followed by a panel session we plan to host with the makers, any other key players that have worked on the film, and few others that work on solutions for the issue of ocean waste.
The screening will be hosted by the Build it Green Club. One of the Build it Green club's most significant missions is advocacy in sustainability including that of plastic pollution and the necessity for action to be made to stop the production, use and waste of it.
