Forest Restoration: Climate Solutions for Business

Join leaders from Verizon, Proctor & Gamble, Bank of America, and the Arbor Day Foundation as we explore how forests act as nature's business solution.

SPEAKERS ANNOUNCED:

  • Verizon, Jim Gowen, Global Supply Chain/Chief Sustainability Officer
  • Procter & Gamble, Virginie Helias, Chief Sustainability Officer
  • Bank of America, Ela Eskinazi, Senior Vice President of Sustainable Finance, ESG Lead
  • Arbor Day Foundation, Jeremy Manion, Lead of Forestry Carbon

Historic and recent evidence is clear that the time to plant trees at-scale is now. Trees are an agreed-upon, low-cost, effective, and scalable approach to mitigating the impacts of a changing climate. So, what are the current opportunities and barriers to restoring forest landscapes globally? How is the private sector making a business case to invest in forest restoration?

The Arbor Day Foundation and its corporate partners will explore both market-based and non-market-based approaches to guiding investments into restoring forests and community trees.

Due to limited space, this event is by invitation only. If you are interested in attending and have not received an invitation, you may register to attend by visiting our Eventbrite page here. You should then expect to receive an email confirming your attendance by September 18th, 2019.

This event is part of the Food, Land and Nature-Based Solutions program of Climate Week NYC.
