We who have been involved in social movements have been and continue to be a powerful force for social change. We have challenged systems of oppression (classism, sexism, racism, homophobia) and war, destruction of land, and dehumanization of people. We know how to fight systems of oppression. We have also experienced interpersonal conflict and internalized oppression. These can derail our movements.
Join us to gain skills in interrupting conflicts that not only replicate systems of oppression but also impede our social justice work. Learn the approaches used by Sustaining All Life and United to End Racism to heal from the damage of oppression, increase our effectiveness in the climate justice movement, and prevent burnout. Hear from people who have applied these tools to resolve hurtful experiences and become more effective at reaching our goals for a sustainable future.
This event is part of the Health, Equality and Justice program of Climate Week NYC.
