Battery Park City: Building the "15-minute City"

Join Battery Park City Authority for a virtual presentation on their commitment to sustainability, as they discuss efforts to serve as a model for a “15-minute City” – a community which is vibrant, inclusive, and resilient. These values have become particularly critical in today’s environment where many are looking to reduce unnecessary travel, yet have the ability to stay engaged with their local community. In Fall 2019, BPCA launched their Resilience Action Plan which serves as a blueprint for achieving “urban resiliency”, ensuring Battery Park City remains a dynamic and safe community, and further establishes the organization as a global leader in sustainable development. Earlier this month, the BPC Sustainability Plan was released, setting Battery Park City on a path of carbon neutrality by 2050.

Speakers include representatives from BPCA and Buro Happold Engineering.
Thursday, September 24 from 10AM – 10:30AM, including 10-minute Q&A session.
