Cadence is a plant-based restaurant with Southern soul. Executive Chef Shenarri Freeman taps into her Virginia upbringing and vegan ethos and spotlights Southern foodways and Soul Food through the lens of health and sustainability.

We are working with local producers in Upstate New York to bring quality, seasonal ingredients to our restaurant. This is an opportunity to reduce our carbon footprint from imports.

 

A vegan diet uses 300 gallons of water daily, compared to 4,000 gallons for a meat-based diet. We believe that veganism, at its core, is a radical and revolutionary lifestyle choice that directly enhances our environmental, economic, and social well-being. Operationally, we also strive to go “beyond the paper straw,” challenging our team members to set goals for and execute new sustainability best practices.
